A young teacher devotes herself to the students in her care in a small, rural village. She finds herself in constant battles with the parents of the children and the school administration who dislike her liberal teaching style and modern ideas

A junior highschool teacher flees North Korea prior to the war. He takes some of his students with him. They all become air force pilots with the teacher as their commanding officer. During the war, they attack their former home and the communists who maltreated them.
